In recent decades, growing awareness of environmental issues and their relationship to the economy has seen the emergence three main policy goals in natural resource management: efficiency, equity and sustainability, as part of sustainable development.
The evaluation of environmental impact plays a hugely important role in the economy, as there must be harmony between the environment and the development of the economic activity. If not, sooner or later the natural resources will run out, either due to industry consumption or due to contamination and/or the extermination of different species. However, the economic policy now is essentially concerned with economic stability and the functioning of markets.
The Energy Market is in a state of flux, meaning that oil reserves within the Middle East up until Latin America are emphasizing on its availability and energy prices. There are instabilities in several of the oil-rich regions such as the Middle East and Asia; this could be due to political factors as well. The question is what is in store for the Oil Market in 2018?
The scope of cryptocurrency has become a global phenomenon to the majority of the human population; ‘BitCoin’ is the most popular form of cryptocurrency that has struck every investor as being profitable due to its skyrocketing price quotations and market capitalization. However, this issue can be debatable among leading business professionals or financiers on whether it is a good investment or not.
The economy now is being affected in various ways in various regions by nationalism. In fascist strongholds, isolationist policies are being promoted. Exclusion of immigrants are being proposed and internationalism is being rejected. As such, there has been a reduced inflow of foreigners and in some areas an increase in outflow. These can lead to a shortage in labour markets that would further weaken struggling economies. In socialist strongholds, separatism is one of the most prominent ideologies with goals to establish selective alliances around the world.
The news industry is forms of mass media that focus on delivering news to the public or a target public, it includes print media, broadcast news, and more recently the internet.
‘Fake news’ has been a subject that dominating media-focused discussions in recent months. What once was thought to be the harmless preserve of few misguided mischief-makers has now become a massive issue for mainstream media. Especially given the evidence of organized cabals creating disinformation to achieve certain political ends.
